Our
restaurant 'La Poivrière' is situated in the magnificent
surroundings of Boulogne-sur-Mer's old town, the administrative
and religious centre. The imposing ramparts, built at
the beginning of the 13th century by the Count of Boulogne
on the base of the Gallic-Roman wall, act as a casket
for the remarkable inner-city dominated by the cathedrals
dome and belfry.
Four gateways permit access to the circular street revealing
a pleasant esplanade allowing you to observe the town
and gardens at the foot of the ramparts.
Families, historians and amblers alike will find Boulogne-sur-Mer's
old town a delightful setting.
The belfry, the castle-museum, the cathedral, the crypt
as well as the 'Annonciades' are all monuments not to
be missed during your visit.
We
wish you a full-flavoured visit and hope to see you
soon in our medieval town!
